Mukuro | OSX Time Machine problems with 4.1Thu, 28. Apr. 2011 18:04 GMT After patch 4.1 every time the game runs it touches a bunch of files, causing Time Machine to back up around 15GB of data every time. I had to exclude the WoW directory from the backup for the time being. If I allow the backup to finish, run the game, then launch Time Machine again it says it needs to save yet another 15GB of data. Is this WoW behaviour correct? Are we expected to exclude backing up WoW data? I understand the game changing its files to apply the patch, but why the files are being changed even afterwards every time I run the game? The Launcher says the game is "up to date". Before patch 4.1 this problem did not exist. |

As we do not provide any technical assistance regarding Time Machine, my advice would be to exclude the World of Warcraft folder from it. |

As far as I can tell this is not a game client's "known issue", I can only recommend you to exclude the World of Warcraft folder from your backups. |
