Vanyer | Stuck between Realms and then can't log inSat, 28. Jan. 2012 19:01 GMT Hello all, lately, during peak hours (19:00-20:00), I'm experiencing the following connection issue. I have characters on Agamaggan and on Outland (the later created only recently) and when I'm logging off from the ones on Agamaggan in order to log in on the one on Outland (Change Realm Button) the game can't receive the Realm List. It's like I'm on a Receiving Realm List limbo if you like. After that, I'm logging off completely and then I can't even start the game because the launcher says "Can't receive patching information etc" . If I override the game launcher and start the game directly, via the WoW button, the game starts normally but still can't log in. I've followed all the actions advised for the "Can't receive patching information etc problem", like the "turn off router, wait and then flush your DNS cache" , the "check your Explorer Settings", the "delete the WTF folder etc", even the "Run As Administrator" one but the problem persists. I'm almost certain that the problem has something to do with the high populated Outland for the following reasons: i. It only started when I created my first Outland character and never before. ii. It happens only during peak hours. After that time period I can log in with no problems. Hopefully I've explained my problem in a clear manner and you may be able to help me resolve it. Thank you in advance. PS: for those who will judge me in a negative way because I created a character on a Realm with lag issues, I'd like to defend myself by saying that I wanted to play the game in a Realm with actual people and not just NPCs that keep company to some unfortunate players like me. |

The first thing we need to do is reset the game to defaults, can you please rename or remove the WTF, Cache and Interface folders from your World of Warcraft directory. If you still experience this issue, please go to the Options menu on the login page, choose the Network tab and then disable the option Optimize Network for Speed Can you also make sure your network configuration is set optimally: http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/disconnects-unknown-entities-naked-characters-red-s-and-other-strange-things |
