Sheetka | WTFast and reducing latencySat, 28. Jan. 2012 20:01 GMT I´m experiencing increased latency lately during evening times. I figured that is probably is my provider which is issue. So I tried out WTFast for funs, and it reduced my latency by almost 30/50%. atleast for the 20 minutes I tried it. The software claimed to be looking for the nearest servers for my location, which apparently reduced my latency, so I was wondering: Why does third party software offer a solution for a latency fix instead of blizzard? It sounds pretty lame to me that people instead of blizzard know how to reduce latency by a simple downloadable software. |

Jan. 2012 09:01 GMT Hello there, This software is a proxy, and it works by altering the path your connection takes to our realms (usually providing a quicker path for the information to reach us). This path is never decided by us, we do not have any control over how information reaches our servers as we do not control the internet. If this software works for you, and reduces the latency you're experiencing, then all we can tell you to do is to contact your network provider, as it proves the issue is outside of our control (if the issue were on our side, using a proxy service would not work around the problem) |
