Unable to validate game version, this may be caused by file corruption or the interference of another program.

Got this error today and cant seem to log on. Unlike anyone else of my friends I did get some kind of update from the launcher before this error occurred ( No one else got a error, may i add). A update that was meant to take 15 minutes ( took longer then that ) to ''optimize '' game performance. Well it did it's thing and now i'm stuck not being able to log in.

I researched this problem, also went to the link the error provided me with that goes to http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/unable-to-validate-game-version double checked everything, nothing works. Different posts suggested that the people whom got this error should delete their Wow.mfil wow.tfil and the launcher.wtf from the WTF folder, this did not work. Tried running as administrator and the same stuff happens.

Waited for more than a hour now as some posts suggested that waiting can also be the solution, not for me i guess. Made sure im playing on the Euro version (enGB ) in the data file.

Im very sure it has something to do with this update, i mean, from what i know no one else i know got this update or '' wow performance optimizer '' thing from the launcher.

Do i really have to reinstall the game? anything you guys can comment on ?
Running on windows 7 by the way.
