Feb. 2012 12:02 GMT Hello Hardnips, I just checked your Running Tasks report (thanks for sharing this!) and your computer appears to be running many processes that might be interfering with the game. However, as this thread is a few days old, could you please provide me with an update as to what exactly is going on, what steps you've already tried and your results? Also, what version of World of Warcraft is installed on your computer now? Thank you :) |
![]() Krinskal | 10 seconds into updating tools, launcher just closes..Tue, 07. Feb. 2012 12:02 GMT Could you please delete the Launcher along with Cache, Interface, WTF, Temp, Updates and Data\Cache folders located in the game directory? Once deleted run the msconfig utility, click the Services tab and tick the Hide all Microsoft services. Disable the non-microsoft services and click OK. Lastly, create another Windows administrator account prior to rebooting Windows. Once rebooted, login to the system with this new account, run the Repair tool (to download an updater Launcher.exe file) and then run the Launcher. Please bear in mind that disabling non-Microsoft services could prevent your system from booting up properly. If need be, restart in Safe Mode, enable to previously disabled services and then restart normally. |
