Lightdealer | can't patch to 4.3.2Wed, 01. Feb. 2012 10:02 GMT Heya all. I'm having some problems starting up wow atm. When i open the launcher it says "downloaded updated tools" for a little bit before giving me one of these messages: "Your game installation is damaged. please run repair" or "blizzard updater failed with an internal error please contact blizzard technical support" or " Failed to download information about the next patch. Check your network connection." or the one i just had now: "The update could not be applied. The file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Blizzard Entertainment\Wrath of the Lich King\Uninstall.xml.temp" could not be created. If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (InstallerFile::Create)" what to do ? DO I really need to uninstall the whole thing and start over? :( I played yesterday and everything was fine.. Thanks in advance -Lightdealer |

Could you please ensure you run the game with administrative privileges (right-click the game icon on your Desktop and choose Run as administrator)? Should the issue persist, please try again in Safe Mode with Networking: http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/how-do-i-boot-the-computer-in-safe-mode If need be, navigate to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Blizzard Entertainment\ and then delete the Wrath of the Lich King folder. |
