Aion | Whats going on with the downloader?Wed, 01. Feb. 2012 19:02 GMT i Mean i tried everything : im sitting behind a 125Mbit linewith 10mbit up, I am not connected to a router , straight line, download speeds peak steady at 11-12mb /s when i download anything of the net. However the blizzard downloader (even with p2p disabled) does not go above 5-10k , ports are open , every thing should have no issue at all. Whats going on ? why is the downloader so crappily slow. Especially with p2p disabled i would expect to see at least a download speed of a couple of megabytes. or a steady connection to the http servers. I must say i rather have a patch online as 1 big file you download on your own (by use of mirrors) then having to deal with a downloader that just does not function properly. Its no fun waiting for 7mb to be downloaded and installed being the Raidleader of a guild. I hate having to wait on people and that i got 9 waiting on me now is sad. |

We actually provide a direct-download feature (the HTTP connection in the Connection Info page), however you will need to properly configure your network in order to benefit from the increased download speed that the P2P features are theoretically capable of providing. |
