Veils | [MAC 10.6.8] - Launcher connecting to patch server...Fri, 03. Feb. 2012 16:02 GMT Hey I opened up WoW(directly, not the launcher) after coming home from school and I get the launcher up and it loads a bit of stuff I didn't see what was. Then this little window pops up I haven't seen before saying "Launcher connecting to patch server", I tried a few things(like repairing, deleting WTF > Launcher.wtf and WoW.mfil and WoW.tfil since somebody said that worked but it didn't for me(so I restored them). Although now the little patch window isn't visible and whenever I start WoW it pops up and then vanishes again. My activity monitor displays a few things though that seem to be taking up a lot of power. Updater which is taking up 50-70% of my CPU, launchd which takes 25-30%, mdworker which I think is connected to WoW, but only takes minimum CPU power. Are there any tips on how to fix this? :-) I'd really like to be able to play tonight. |

You can get to Safe Mode by restarting your Mac, and holding down the Left Shift key as it restarts, releasing when you get to the grey screen. |
