Connecting to patch server... no data transferred, launcher taking full CPU power, nothing ever happening At least the patch launcher can be closed again. (Most of the time.) But no setting I tick makes any difference. Temp\wow-patch.mpq is created with zero-length. Then I try BackgroundDownloader.exe - invalid torrent file Blizzard Updater.exe - There is no patch file to apply. Where is the patch download?! I want to download a file and then run it to patch the game. Every patch is a huge pain potentially ruining my system just because that crappy launcher doesn't work!

If your game client is not fully up-to-date, please make sure that you always run the game through the Launcher. Should your Launcher.exe application file be damaged or missing, you may run the Repair.exe application file in order to restore the original Launcher tool.
