Treeroy | Download speed extremely lowWed, 01. Feb. 2012 16:02 GMT It would seem that my download speed is extremely low. I'm currently trying to download the 30mb patch, and am on 20.7mb after half an hour. My internet is not the problem, rather it is either the connection or the computer. Web pages load instantly, and most of the time I don't have issues with download speeds. However, this is what it's like when I open up the WoW launcher: -Goes up to ~200kb/s fairly slowly -After about 6 seconds it starts to slow -After another few seconds, it's on ~1kb/s -Stays at this speed with occasional random 5-second bursts of 150kb/s This happens whenever I download a patch for WoW, but is fine for anything else. Any help would be appreciated, I'm not exactly sure what information you need but my connection to the router is <1ms (this is when not downloading, just from memory) and it's a brand new computer, only a week old. |

Feb. 2012 17:02 GMT HI there, Can you please try to go to Options on the Downloader, then Downloader Preferences and un-tick the option Enable Peer-to-Peer Transfer, and see if this helps? Please also ensure that there's nothing interfering with the download by running Windows in a Selective Startup: http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/windows-closing-background-applications |
