Zemen | Downloading issues for 4.3.2Thu, 02. Feb. 2012 15:02 GMT Greetings, I'm having issues with downloading the newest patch. Everytime I start the launcher or game and it begins to "download updated tools", it freezes and closes itself after 10% or something, giving me the following message: The file "C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Blizzard Entertainment\Wrath of the Lich King\Uninstall.xml.temp" could not be created. If this problem persists, you may be able to solve it by uninstalling and then reinstalling the game. If you are unable to correct this problem, please contact Blizzard Technical Support. (InstallerFile::Create) I didn't reinstalled the game, because it's something wich came out of the blue. And to spend a whole day reinstalling it, only to find out that the reinstallation didn't worked is quite annoying. So I'd like to know if this problem is known to you people and what the correct solution is. I did went through the last topics globally, also tried to shut down my antivirus, because I've had issues with the cookies ever since the new Windows 7 pc and the new AVG. But I couldn't find how AVG could be shut down and put on inactive. Also tried to use the Repair.exe, but the application couldn't find anything wrong with the game. I tried to empty my Updates folder and even the latest updates wich were still in the main directory, but no success. I've had more issues with the downloader that it froze or announced that my game file is corrupted, but when I started the WoW.exe it lead me back to the downloader and nothing was wrong at all. I tried the same here, but got the same window with the "downloading updated tools" message and at the same point it gave the same error. Please help. |
