Hello there, fellow Newcomerians (yes, that is a word)! Kittyface here, on behalf of the Off Topic Generals! We'd like to invite all of you to a fun and interesting project, that we have decided to call the Twinkathon 2012.

How it works
You either level a character up to level 60, or take a character of level 64 maximum and join the guild with it. We will clear AQ10 (and the other raids, if enough interest actually is there). When we're done with that, we will level up to level 70 and get all that content down before we move up to level 80 content. You should get the general idea of it all.

We will only be using gems, enchants, glyphs and such from that period of WoW. As in, you are not allowed to gem relics until level 70. Glyphs are not allowed until level 80, and we don't use heirlooms. Goblins, Belves and paladins are allowed.

What could this mean for you?
We are offering you a fun experience, and a chance of meeting new people! If you haven't raided before, this would be a great time to start! You would get some raid experience and the feeling of teamwork whilst raiding with a friendly bunch of people. You could also get up to level 85 with transmog sets ready!

Well, that sounds great! But how do I sign up for this event?
It's simple! You basically whisper either Kittyface, Kittypowah or Fantabulous (depending on which character I am on), and you will get an invite to the guild. We're on the Emerald Dream server.


If you happen to be really new to the game, and have a lot of questions about raiding and such, don't be afraid of asking.

Only one twink is allowed per person for this event, with the maximum level reached to be 64 by the time the event starts.

Your twink does not have to be levelled to join the guild, though to participate you will have to put on your levelling hat (if you’re lucky enough to have any looms!) and reach the raiding group’s level, whatever it may be at the time.

Each twink is entitled to receive no more than 5 gold from the guildbank in order to learn spells or new patterns/abilities from professions. We feel this is a fair amount as, while we recognize that people are powerlevelling, gold is relatively easy to attain from raiding and the sum named should be enough to cover these costs.

You will be assigned to a raid group consisting of about 30 people, though we may split this group depending on the raid size. If you wish to raid with a certain person, feel free to let any of the officers know.

Gear, gems and enchants that are allowed are only those that were available for the expansion which we find ourselves raiding in, i.e., when we raid at 60 only Vanilla items are allowed. Please note that the use of heirlooms whilst raiding is strictly forbidden, though they are allowed whilst levelling.

The use of minor glyphs and dual spec will be allowed throughout. Any race/class may also be played, as we will be raiding to 85 and therefore do not wish to restrict people’s decisions in this case.

Raid days will be set to Fridays and Sundays. On Sunday we will raid from 20:30 to 23:00 ST, while on Friday raids will begin at 20:30 ST and may continue past 23:00 if people so wish. All twinks will be given due notice of when we plan to progress to the next expansion, in order to allow time for people to level and gear accordingly.

EDIT: I'd like to point out that we only do each raid once or twice before moving on to the next expansion. Should have put this here earlier, not just on page two of the thread.

EDIT: The last date that you can sign up on is the 25th of February, after that the guild once again will only be open for socials and level 85 raiders. Do not fear though, the Twinkathon is something we're planning on doing again!
