Intro:

This guide is ment to give you a peak at what it will be like to level your Horde character from level 58 to level 80. I will describe every zone that you will visit on your journey to the current level cap; both the environment, the looks of the zones, and the quests and leveling experience.

I have previously made a guide for level 1-60, so I decided that it’s time to make a post for 58-80. Reason why I’m starting at 58 and not 60, is because you can go to Outland at level 58. Thanks for reading my guide, I appreciate all constructive response that I can get, so keep on telling me what is good and what is not so good. As mentioned, this guide is made for Horde players. Milaena has made a great guide for Alliance players from 1-60, and hopefully she will make a guide for 58-80 as well.

I ended the last guide with Silithus, Winterspring and the Plaguelands. Assuming you did not go to 60, but only 58, I will start this guide with the Outland zone Hellfire Peninsula. All zones are contested territory if you play on a PvP-flagged realm.

Hellfire Peninsula 58-63:
The zone Hellfire Peninsula is shattered, and will give you a very good look of what Outland can be. The zone is way larger than the zones you’ve visited before; according to wowwiki, this is to justify the relative speeds at which flying mounts travel. With floating “islands” in the air, beams, waves, mighty skies with moons and planets, and fire red ground, this zone can be a little scary and make you feel that you are in an unfriendly world. You are, but do not worry! When you first enter the Dark Portal, you start at the Stair of Destiny. On this stair, there is a war going on, between the demons of Outland on the one hand, and the Horde and Alliance on the other hand. The mobs in Hellfire are tougher than the ones you’ve faced in Azeroth, and many elites roam the in-instanced lands. You will get a quest that takes you to a place called Thrallmar. Thrallmar is one of the three main quest hubs in Hellfire. The others being Falcon Watch and _____. The quests from Thrallmar lead you further into the zone and to the other hubs. In the middle of Hellfire Peninsula are two instances (as well as a raid instance). You can find the start of the quest line which aligns you with the Mag'har in Hellfire Peninsula. Doing this is, as I see it, essential. You will need reputation, at least neutral, to be able to do their quests in Nagrand because the Mag'har holds the major quest hub there. I can’t make this too long, so I recommend you to go to www.wowpedia.org to read about this quest chain. Hellfire Ramparts is probably the first instance that you will visit, and The Blood Furnace, the second. There is one more instance, The Shattered Halls, but this one is designed for players at level 70.

Zangarmarsh 60-64:
Zangarmarsh is, in opposite to Hellfire, a wet, blue marsh, overgrown by mega-mushrooms. In this zone, the Cenarion Expedition is fighting against the Nagas, who try to drain the bog of all its water. There are three (eventually four) quest hubs to mention here: Cenarion Refuge, Zabra’jin and Swamprat Post. When you enter this zone, you will first come to Cenarion Refuge, but if you follow the road north a bit, you will find Swamprat Post. My tip here is: when you have picked up the quests in Cenarion Refuge, go to Swamprat Post and pick up the quests there before you start completing the Cenarion quests. By doing this, you will get XP faster, because many of the Swamprat quests are happening at the same place, some even at the same mobs, as the ones from the Cenarion Refuge. The main quest chain from the Cenarion Refuge is, as mentioned, to stop the water draining. The quests will lead you all over the zone, and you will meet the people of Sporeggar. To not make this waaay too long, I will not tell about Sporeggar. If you are interested, check out WoWwiki.com.
In Zangarmarsh, you can find three instances and one raid instance. The 5-man instances are: The Slave Pens, The Underbog and The Steamvault. The raid instance is named Serpentshrine Cavern.
