Bastyr | Account RecoveryTue, 30. Aug. 2011 17:08 GMT Hello. A few days ago my account got hacked. I tried to use the Account Recovery option like 10 times but i dident work. Finally i looked up at a wow web-site and i saw that the only thing i had to do was opning a ticket (I made a 10-day free trial for that). I opened a ticket and told a GM that my old account have been hacked. He asked me for my account name and the day of my last log-in. Afterwards he told me that he now has send me a mail, to my email, where there would be a reset password option. I did it and then my account was open like before. I feeling like Blizzard missleads me, when they tell me to go to the Account Recovery site, when all i have to do is to open a ticket. Im hopening that the Account Recovery site soon will have the same options as the GM gave me. (Btw... sorry for my bad english im just a kid from Denmark) |

Aug. 2011 11:08 GMT Well, we're not misleading you Bastyr, it's just that the Account Recovery Webform is the most efficient way to recover an account after a compromise incident. When you say 'it didn't work', what do you mean? Were you getting error messages? I don't actually see any Account Recovery requests from the email address registered to the account you are posting from, so perhaps your browser was having issues at the time? |
