Sinjull | Problem with hacked accountSun, 29. Jan. 2012 14:01 GMT I am writing this for a friend of mine. His account got hacked, like half year ago or so, and now we are some persons that wanna play Starcraft 2 together and he has tried, not only the last month but also since when he was hacked, to recover his account and nothing happens. It is said that he shall recieve a mail with the recover password link but he doesnt get it. We checked both his inbox and his spam folder. Yes, he was here over the week and we tried it so I could see it myself. Could atleast someone higher up explain why for 6 months this e-mail wont show up in his mail, he infact showed it himself when he was here that it doesnt come. Does he really have to phone in to you guys just to reset his password to fully? |
![]() Nephadne | Problem with hacked accountSun, 29. Jan. 2012 18:01 GMT Greetings Sinjull, If your friend has definitely checked his ‘Junk’ and ‘Spam’ folders, the next step I’d usually advise is to have a look at this incredibly useful Support Site article; How can I make sure I can receive e-mail from Blizzard? http://eu.battle.net/support/en/article/how-can-i-make-sure-i-can-receive-e-mail-from-blizzard It’s actually remarkably common for our emails to be auto-blocked, meaning that they won’t ever make it to those folders, so please do have him try out the steps described and then attempt a further password reset – let us know what happens! :) |
![]() Nephadne | Problem with hacked accountSun, 29. Jan. 2012 18:01 GMT Hi there Cuutie, You’d be the friend? ;) I’m really pleased to hear that’s been enough to resolve things for you, and enjoy your SCII-ing! |
![]() Nephadne | Problem with hacked accountTue, 31. Jan. 2012 09:01 GMT Hi again Sinjull, Apologies for the assumption there! >.< Please do let your friend know about that article indeed, as the fact that there’s a difference between whether you both receive our emails or not already implies that it could well be related to your email provider or your settings therein. I’ve never really heard of any cases where our password resets weren’t being sent for such a long period of time, and particularly not to just one individual account, so I can’t help but assume they must be getting lost, blocked or redirected along the way. :) |
