 Bolltor | Authenticator removal, delicate situationSun, 29. Jan. 2012 16:01 GMT So I'm posting this on behalf of my friend which's name I will supply if the appropriate person asks it. So my friend had to share hes account with hes brother, all wen't well but hes brother past him some weeks ago. So last week someone told him to add an authenticator to hes account so that nobody could hack him. So he did, no problems he just downloaded it trough iTunes and everything worked as it should. Now some days ago he had a problem with hes iPhone, it kept booting so he did a full restore on it and he forgot about the authenticator. No problems in the beginning because he kept playing on hes laptop where he always played on and the same network. So it didn't ask for the digits, he didn't even remember he had an authenticator. Now I invited him to come play at my place so he tried to login and it asked for the digits of the authenticator, we tried to remove it but it asked for some sort of ID which he couldn't supply because... well hes brother past away and the account is registered on hes name... He can supply all codes from all expansions, gamecards but he can't supply hes dead brothers ID ... So what can we do about this? Please help him |

I’m truly sorry, however, that I can only confirm that which Shammoz has already stated. We unfortunately don’t recognise the transfer, gift or sale of accounts, even between family members (with the exception of a parent or guardian passing ownership over to a minor reaching the age of majority), so it’s unlikely to be possible for our Accounts team to alter the name on the account in this regrettable situation either. Once your friend is willing to get in direct contact with our Accounts department (contact details supplied by Shammoz above), however, they will be able to talk him through the potential options. |
