Spadge | Confirmed AH bot still botting 2 weeks after reportFri, 27. Jan. 2012 12:01 GMT Here's another QQ bot Post. After noticing on the Undermine Journal that there were 2 characters in the Busy Sellers section posting glyphs near-as-damnit 24/7, effectively owning that market I decided to locate the toons and watch them. Both characters are clearly on the same account as when one logs off the other logs on a minute later. After witnessing that both characters take exactly the same path, stand in exactly the same spot, jump and turn in exactly the same way after each cancel/post run and pause briefly when running up the ramp to the Darnassus AH I concluded they were a bot. I raised a ticket to this effect and received the usual 'bla-bla-bla be sure we'll take appropriate action' boilerplate reply I notice they are still botting 24/7. Observing either of these 2 characters for more than 2 minutes would make it clear they are bots so why hasn't something been done about it? As it is it's almost impossible to compete on the glyph market against these 2 characters I'm sure it's increasingly frustrating for a good portion of the playerbase who spent a lot of money levelling their inscription skill hoping to make some gold. |
![]() Irylinne | Confirmed AH bot still botting 2 weeks after reportFri, 27. Jan. 2012 13:01 GMT I can't really comment on the hows and whys, but please believe me when I say that we take botting every bit as seriously as you do, if not more so. We devote a vast amount of time and resources towards anti-exploitative efforts, and we're actually pretty good at what we do. The problem is that our work is often not apparent or immediately visible, and so there is a misconception amongst some players that your reports are in vain. That simply isn't true - please keep sending information to us, whether it's through the ticket system or by email (hacks@blizzard.com). It really does help. :) |
