Smokeyrogue | Security Issues!Fri, 03. Feb. 2012 12:02 GMT Right, I am only in my first month playing time after coming back after a long wow break. Whilst i wasnt playing the game, i had numerous emails informing me of account secutity. i ignored them because there was no play time on my account. I log back in recently to find all my stuff gone on my chars. fair play to Blizzard, they got 90% of my stuff back. Now, its not even been a month and there are security issues on my account!! how is this possible?! I, like 99% of ppl playing, never give out their password or username or any email addresses etc etc, so how is this happening? I purchased a new laptop a few weeks ago and there is only a few programs on it, i havnt been on to many websites, especially any 'dodgy' ones, so how has my account been hacked again?! |

If they have access to your account details, they could still log in and access your characters. This is why it is very important to ensure that you have a separate e-mail address for your battle.net account and that you do not use the same password for everything. Please do take the time to look through the links given to you by our regulars and I'm glad to see that you were able to recover most of the things that were lost. :) |
