Lolmelol | submitting non personal information questionTue, 31. Jan. 2012 09:01 GMT This morning , started launcher, pressed play , entered my login information, connect and bump unable to connect. Tried 2 more times and no chance, something is wrong like I have no connection to internet. Now as I am some kind of security expert I do have a lot of security software running and as well software and hardware firewalls etc. Well started to check around where and what blocking my WoW as I was playing last night and there was no problem at all. And found it after temporary disabled one part of my firewall. Well in firewall there is rule regarding world of Warcraft to allow game communicate with game servers, so that means that I followed blizzard information's regarding TCP/IP ports game using. So before disabling one part of firewall I tried to connect again just to be sure it is firewall and after that checked log and found that wow trying to connect to 87.248.218.169 port 1119 and 87.248.217.95 port 1119. So after disabling firewall , managed to connect to wow but in internet communication log file I have found both of above ip addresses again in moment of connecting to login servers. As well now was able to seen message submitting non personal information. After loged in game I exited and enabled firewall again, now there was no problem regarding loging in game and as well above ip addressees did not show again. So above ip addressees are used only for submitting non personal information. Question is are above ip addressees are used by blizzard for some purpose, is blizzard working with some other company and giving them our information's. Submitting non personal information did happen before, and it happen many times, and there was no problems like this morning. BTW above ip addresses are assigned to Limelight Networks inc. |
