Feb. 2012 11:02 GMT Greetings Donjerry, Hopefully you didn’t visit the website in question, and you’ve since had a chance to ask around or read through some of our related Support Site articles, as the whisper will definitely have been a fake! These individuals will often contact players in-game, promising free things or threatening account action unless the player in question logs into a (fake) website. This part is unfortunately where the malicious parties behind the scam will steal the account information, and likely use it in order to ‘hack’ the account and empty it of gold and items. :( The best thing you can do if you happen to receive such a whisper in the future would be to report it immediately using the ‘Report player’ option that can be found when you right-click on the name of the character whispering you. This passes the information directly on to us so that we can investigate further.
