I’m not entirely sure precisely what you mean by your report – are you joining the battleground in question at all? Or are you simply left in your original location without being ported in? Furthermore, are you referring to this character only?

If that’s the case then I’m afraid it’s intended that you wouldn’t be able to join a battleground with a Worgen or Goblin character until the starting area had been fully completed.

Incidentally, in taking a quick look at your character, it seems like you were in Warsong Gulch at the time, so hopefully by finishing the starting area you’ve been able to resolve the issue and enjoy some PvP. :)
